The assessment
The baseline assessment is free and carries no obligation. You keep the written summary whether or not you go ahead.
Sessions
Sessions are 45 minutes, at the same day and time each week, in person in Heidelberg. Each one is planned for your child from the assessment and the sessions before it. The weekly session comes with homework for the days between — a short worksheet, the daily spelling app and paired reading with you — and a written review after every session. The program works because of the days in between, so I'll ask you to keep the home practice going and to tell me when it isn't happening, without judgement, so I can adjust.
Cancellations
Please give 48 hours' notice to cancel or move a session. A session cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice is charged in full. If I have to cancel, you're not charged, and I'll offer another time that week where I can.
Fees and payment
Fees are set out in writing with your assessment summary, before you commit to anything, and depend on the format (one-to-one or small group). You're invoiced after each session and payment is due within seven days by bank transfer, using the reference on the invoice. Invoices come from [email protected]. There are no term fees up front and no minimum commitment: you can stop at any time, and I'll tell you honestly if I think your child no longer needs me.
School terms
Sessions follow the Victorian school terms, with a break over the holidays unless we agree otherwise.
Your child's information
Assessment results, session notes and work samples are kept securely and used only to plan and report on your child's teaching. Before anything is collected you'll be given an enrolment form that sets out exactly what is kept and who can see it, and asks for your consent. The privacy page covers this site and how enquiries are handled.
Changes
If these terms change, the version on this page applies from the date below, and I'll tell current families directly.
